Westfield Promenade envisions replacing a redundant mall with a vibrant 24/7 urban hub for the West San Fernando Valley. New streets, car free paths and residential mews divide the site into a pedestrian friendly blocks which connect the adjacent transit center with new residential towers, hotels, corporate and creative offices. The heart of the Promenade is a distinctive public green which creates a centerpiece for the project and the West Valley of LA.  An extension of the Village lifestyle district connects Westfield’s successful Topanga center with a new sports and entertainment arena creating a major destination for Los Angeles. This masterplan was produced by a coordinated internal / external team working in a fast track high performance process resulting in an early submittal saving a large amount in fees. Westfield Promenade will set a new benchmark for an integrated urban district in LA.
