Terminal 6, originally a collection of three different buildings built at various decades and at different levels was reworked by Westfield into one holistic experience. Inspired by L.A.’s iconic Sunset Boulevard which weaves through LA from city to beach, Westfield opened up the barriers between buildings and created new vistas through the concourse weaving a clear intuitive route for the passengers’ journey. Lined with new boutique retail and dining terraces, this concourse path is emphasized with new terrazzo floor and glowing ribboned ceiling elements. The tenant storefronts enhance the Sunset Boulevard story, flowing from urban storefronts of steel and reclaimed decorative elements then to sleek glass illuminated boutiques and ending with the ultimate beach bar. The new traveler experience mirrors the drive along Sunset Boulevard into a rewarding passenger environment.
