 TOM BRADLEY

 INTERNATIONAL

2013

While under construction, The Tom Bradley International terminal was enhanced by Westfield creating a variety of intimate retail districts reflecting different L.A. neighborhoods all within a Grand Hall. The luxury shops of Rodeo Drive and the open air cafes of Sunset Plaza provided the inspiration for combining see through international boutiques with communal seating groups and workspaces to create welcoming places not seen in most airports. Most of the shops and cafes have open ceilings and sculptural canopies to allow views into the grand hall and amazing digital art above. In the concourses, the sense of L.A. is evoked by restaurants designed as if they were open air cafes taking advantage of the lofty spaces created by the terminal’s architecture. Bespoke lounge seating and decorative lighting throughout the terminal enhance the ambiance and the passenger’s experience.
